A LETTER FROM COACH WRIGHT
A LETTER FROM COACH WRIGHT
I give thanks to God for giving me the opportunity to serve as Head Coach of the Carolina Stallions for 17 years. During this span of years, I have grown to love the Stallion football teams and the people behind the teams. I experienced a stroke in April, 2019 and felt it would be tough for me to regain the strength and stamina to be able to coach the team this season. In the back of my mind, I felt the desire to push forward following my therapy sessions to get back on the field in June, 2019. Ultimately, I was advised by my physician to back away from the sideline, and I realized that it was best for me to allow ample time for me to heal mentally and physically.
I love the game of football more than anything in this world next to my family. I’m looking forward to getting stronger and feeling much better with God’s steadfast and redeeming love. My goal is to come back with a whole new and fresh agenda for the Stallion program. Sometimes, you have to clear the slate so God can raise the slate, and I realize that God’s mercies are endless.
To our sponsors, the Rocky Mount City Manager, City Council, Director and Staff of Parks & Recreation, I love and appreciate all of you and thank God for you----------- for you are truly the Team behind the Stallion Football Team. Please feel free to call on me whenever you may need my help.
To the Stallion Staff: I appreciate your dedication and the loving spirit that has been displayed during the many years we have worked together. I am praying to God to rekindle the Carolina Stallion Program in the new upcoming year to reach out and be a vital part of the community for the young and old.
My life’s motto is: “I welcome every difficulty as an opportunity to grow.” With the same conviction as General McArthur, the Carolina Stallion Football Organization will strive to return with a new and fresh energy ready to serve and empower the community. With love and blessings………………. Coach Michael J. Wright, Sr.
